Because of our involvement with the nonwoven industry, ASC saw the opportunity of buying, selling and recycling of pure polymer waste materials. This began within the nonwoven sector but has recently expanded our reach into other manufacturing sectors. In these markets we have developed relationships and opportunities enabling us to source valuable raw materials with the primary goal of repelletization for reuse in other markets. These markets include:
Injection molding
Blow molding
Thermo forming
Many other forms of extrusion.
The primary raw materials ASC has worked with are PET and PP, although we do have experience in LDPE, HDPE and Nylon.
We have developed a network domestically and internationally aimed towards this wide variety of markets. It is ASC’s goal to aggressively expand this portion of our business. In the near future, RPM will take on more responsibility in servicing this market by adding grinding and processing capabilities. We will utilize our large square footage for staging and processing of more raw materials.
